How can I set up a knob for scene controll in ableton?
« on: December 03, 2009, 12:06:54 PM »
Hi all,

My name is andreas. I am from switzerland and I am new to controllerism. I use ableton live and reaktor and i am trying to map moldover's template in ableton.

I would like to map one of the knobs on my remote sl for scene control. I want it to scroll down when i turn the knob to the right and up when i turn it left.

so far i could only go in one direction (up or down) with my knob. it also stops when it reaches 127 and i have to turn the knob the other way arround to continue.
I am completely new to midi. i guess there is a way to make the knob send only 2 values. one for turning it right and one for turning it left.

so far the forum has been of great help. I already found many answers here so thx for that.

Hi Pencap,

I believe theres a control that you can map to that's next to the up and down controls, it might be a number?

I'll have a look when i get home but let me know if you find it?

Cheers
