im yan. im a vj and lj. i also mix, scratch and enjoy making crazy beats and noises. i use ableton live with a roland midi interface and a large midi keyboard. (i have recently got a dance matt for music fun but am having trouble getting software to convert USB joystick to midi successfully) Any help on that would be apreciated?! For vjing ARKAOS and lighting showcad.
Im currently building my first diy controller. I am building it to make controlling software fun! As a novice electronincs person i started with a circuit baord out of an old small 9v midi keyboard (no variables on it!). I then worked out how the curcit worked and set out to get loads of mad switches. I have so far mounted the switches on wood in an arrangement i find usefull. Heres a picture

Im happy with the layout and plan to finish the controller by building a clear acrylic box for the unit. the controller wil have leds inside as well as some switches illuminated.
Im going to try make a business out of makeing custom midi controllers and am asking for any contacts who could build and sell me pre made pcbs with terminals for variable resitors and switches etc. If any one can help please contact me.
