Ean Golden is a DJ of 15 years and creator of DjTechTools who lives and works out of San Francisco, California. He travels around the world playing shows, creating ground breaking DJ technology, and writing about the digital DJ industry. Ean is considered one of the pioneers of digital djing and a founder of the up and coming controllerism movement.
The recently crowned champion of the 2011 West Coast Controller Battle, Edison resides in San Francisco, California, where he is creating constantly using old breaks and a closet of old instruments to bring the digital grit, out of the acoustic organic. He performs using a handmade lunchbox full of monome guts and he has gained momentum through videos of his performances, shows, and song downloads. Edison has collaborated around the globe and performed all over the country. Edison is signed to Kid Without Radio Records.
Artful Codger - aka Tim Thompson - has put his own unique stamp on Controllerism with his Space Palette, a wooden frame that utilizes the Microsoft Kinect to create electronic music by doint the Minority Report Dance with his hands.
Sabotage has been producing live electronic music since 2009. His dynamic improvised live performances showcasing his relentless exploration and programming of eclectic and progressive rhythms, heavy bass, and electronic sounds.
Always fresh, often improvised, many of his tracks are programmed and produced live on the dance floor. He has steadily been releasing tracks on SoundCloud through 2010 and 2011.
Dataf1ow (aka Evan Bogunia) is a musician and visual artist. His goal is to create a performance practice that combines digital images and sounds into one cohesive artistic event. Dataf1ow came to be in mid 2009 as a way to share his works in electronic music, digital art, performance and the intersection of these different forms of expression.
Known for the Kaossonome controller project, Alexander Randon, aka Alexandernaut, made waves recently at the West Coast Controller Battle.
Vladimir Coman-Popescu, aka Bandesnaci, is a digital musician, controllerist, sound engineer and designer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He has been studying the piano since the age of 8 and has been writing, playing and recording music since 2005, when he first started gigging as a guitar player. Most of these bands turned out to be short-lived projects and he eventually reached the conclusion that the typical workflow within a band didn't suit his needs, something that many Controllerists have expressed to us.
